Movement with touch and sound was invented and developed by Marian Lindkvist, founder of Sesame, in the 1970s. Lindkvist, after 10 years of experience in psychiatric hospitals and special centers for children with learning disabilities and autism, has created MWTS, as a way of communication and treatment for people who do not have the ability to speak or their speech is significantly limited.
Focusing on the primal communication between mother and infant, based on body contact and interaction, Lindkvist cultivated this non-verbal therapeutic method which aims at reconstructing first experiences, promoting healthy bodily and emotional expression, developing social skills and building confidence.
This module is mainly experiential. You will learn the techniques of the method, that are reinforced and analysed according to Lindqvist's theory but also to developmental and Jung’s analytical psychology.
